Podcast: The link between medicine and music

Professor Watson was featured on episode 27 of The Meaning of Health Podcast where he spoke with the hosts about his early medical training and decision to specialise in gastroenterology. He also spoke about his mentor Sir David Weatherall, completing a PhD, and then the move to Australia where he discussed what it was like to work as both a senior academic and a practising clinician.

They also discuss the philosophy of medical practice, a possible link between practising medicine and being musically inclined, and how attitudes and expectations about the practice of medicine have changed during his career.
